【馬來西亞的多重宇宙：探索當代馬來西亞的族群議題】Exploring Ethnic Issues in Contemporary Malaysia

臺灣影視界近來有許多引人深思的馬來西亞作品，從大家熟悉的《富都青年》到去年的金馬獎入圍影片《五月雪》，這些電影成為我們理解馬來西亞的管道。不過，關於馬來西亞的族群議題，除了重大的悲劇事件與結構性的不平等，我們還能再多問、多知道什麼？

由於過去臺灣的僑教政策與馬來西亞的教育制度，臺灣有許多來自馬來西亞的學生，1980年代一群在臺的馬來西亞學生組成大馬青年社、籌辦《大馬青年》，透過刊物探討家鄉的公共議題，「大馬青年」於2020年重啟，持續關注馬來西亞時下的社會議題。這些關心家鄉的「大馬青年」又如何思考族群議題？

在GNA五月份的活動中，我們邀請「大馬青年」一起和我們談談馬來西亞的族群議題，包括近期的爭議與族群間的對話，希望透過這次的工作坊，不只更認識馬來西亞的族群議題，也讓我們重新思考族群、國族與國家間的關係。

分享結束後會以分組的形式進行討論。我們會準備一些小零食，希望每一位觀眾都可以在活動中與其他參與者、講者有更多互動。

「大馬青年」介紹：
《大馬青年》創刊於 1983 年的台灣，由學生組織「大馬青年社」負責籌辦，透過馬來西亞旅台同學會撥款發行，提供旅台馬來西亞青年發表學術論文、文學創作、言論文章的平台，並製作採訪專題探討家鄉時下公共議題。

2020年「大馬青年」重新復辦，加入網路平台，集結不同留台生的聲音，期許以大學生的視角投入各種議題探討；積極透過不同集會遊行的參與、講座、讀書會來支持我們所關懷的議題。

至今，「大馬青年」依然在網路世界裡扮演著帶動社會議題討論的角色，希望可以繼續秉持著「言論建國，學術報國」的精神，持續深耕更多元主題的社會議題。

For May’s “GNA monthly” event we will invite "Youth of Malaysia” to share with us about ethnic issues in Malaysia, including recent controversies and inter-ethnic dialogue. We hope that through this event, we will not only understand ethnic groups in Malaysia better, but also through open discussion we can rethink the relationship between ethnic groups, nations and countries.

About Youth of Malaysia:
Youth of Malaysia (大馬青年) was established in Taiwan in 1983 to provide a platform for Malaysian youth in Taiwan to publish academic papers, literary creations, and opinion articles, as well as to produce interviews and feature stories on current public issues in their homeland. In 2020, Youth of Malaysia was relaunched as an online platform to gather the diverse voices of Malaysian students in Taiwan. Through their platform they aim to foster engagement in a wide array of discussions, while they also . actively participate in various gatherings, marches, lectures, and book clubs to support the social issues they care about.
