活動｜2024國際難民日：Myanmar Film Tour in Taiwan 緬甸紀錄片國際聯播臺灣GNA場（導演映後）မြန်မာဖလင်ပြပွဲ - ထိုင်ဝမ်

6月20日是世界難民日。本月月底（6月29日），我們將與來自泰國的教育運動精神（SEM）及青年社群亞洲鬧世代合作，舉辦緬甸電影巡演。我們將放映三部短片，從不同角度展現人們在政治動盪中的遭遇和奮鬥，我們也邀請SEM代表Ben以及《Women at War》的導演進行後續講座，活動亦包括問答環節和討論。

World Refugee Day, June 2024

For more than three years, millions of people in Myanmar have been forced to flee their homes following the coup d'etat by the Myanmar military. According to UNHCR, 2,658,400 Myanmar are displaced within the country (as of 22 Apr. 2024), while the unofficial estimate of Myanmar refugees is over 1 million.
Thousands of new arrivals are residing in Thailand.International communities, including the Myanmar diaspora and Thai networks, have been urging the Thai government to take an active role in supporting and protecting these refugees.

However, little progress has been made and the problem seems to worsen as the conflict escalates and the State Administration Council (SAC) announces the conscription law. This is causing more young intellectual refugees to flee the country, resulting in a brain drain and a severe life-threatening situation.

As a neighboring country, Thailand cannot ignore these issues. What happens in Myanmar will inevitably affect Thailand sooner or later. Respond to the Myanmar situation, particularly in protecting refugees, is also a way of safeguarding the Thai people.

June 20th is World Refugee Day. At the end of this month (June 29), we will collaborate with the Spirit in Education Movement (SEM) from Thailand and our youth empowerment community Generation Now Asia (GNA) to host the Myanmar Film Tour. We will screen three short films that depict people's encounters and struggles under the political turmoil from diverse perspectives. We also invite Ben, a representative from SEM, and Doris, the director of "Women at War" to give a follow-up talk. A Q&A session and discussion will also be included.

ဇွန်လ 20 ရက်နေ့သည် ကမ္ဘာ့ဒုက္ခသည်များနေ့ ဖြစ်သည်။ ဇွန်လ 29 ရက်နေ့တွင် ကျင်းပမည့် အစီအစဉ်တွင် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံမှ SEM (Spirit in Education Movement) အဖွဲ့နှင့် အတူ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံဖილိင်ပြပွဲကို ကျင်းပမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ ဤစီစဉ်အတွင်း လူ့အခက်အခဲနှင့် ရင်ဆိုင်နေရသော စိတ်ဖိစီးမှု အဖြစ်အပျက်များကို ဖော်ကျူးပြသထားသည့် ရုပ်ရှင် သုံးပုဒ်ကို ပြသမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ SEM ကိုယ်စားလှယ် Ben နှင့် “Women at War” ရုပ်ရှင်ဒါရိုက်တာအား ဖိတ်ခေါ်ကာ ပြောကြားစရာရှိသည်။ Q&A မေးမြန်းခြင်းနှင့် ဆွေးနွေးပွဲကိုပါ ထည့်သွင်းထားသည်။

Women At War

It is estimated that over 100,000 people have been displaced by the civil war in Myanmar’s Kayah (Kareni) State following the military coup, and they are now living in camps designated for ‘internally displaced people’ (IDPs). Three women living with their families in a camp for internally displaced people in Kayah (Kareni) State recall how war drove them from their village, and wonder if their dream of returning to a peaceful existence at home will ever come true.

Doris is an active advocate for gender equality in Loikaw. She started her social education as an intern at Kayan Women Organization (KyWO) for 9 months straight. She became one of the pioneering women who launched the first gender equality movement in the land of the Karenni people, as well as also the 2011 Inland Project. In 2012, she transferred to Women Center Loikaw to act as a chair for eight months. Then she founded Women Safe House in 2013 and started taking responsibility for gender-related cases, from June 2014 to August of 2015. In 2017 she joined Yangon Film School Docu-Animation Course. Her animation Kayah Li Li, created during the Docu-Animation course, is a story about a thirteen-year-old rape survivor who describes the day she was attacked in the woods and how, with support from her family and teachers, she has struggled to make a new life for herself despite her traumatic experience. It has been awarded BEST ANIMATION in the 3rd Golden Bee International Children’s Festival, New Delhi, India. In 2023, she received a grant from Exile Hub’s organization and filmed the “Women At War” film. Currently, she volunteers her time to support internally displaced persons (IDP) in Kayah State.

မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၊ ကယား(ကရင်နီ) ပြည်နယ်အတွင်းမှာ စစစ်အာဏာသိမ်းမှုကြောင့် အရပ်သားပြည်တွင်းစစ်ပွဲများအတွင်း လူပေါင်း ၁၀၀,၀၀၀ကျော် (သို့) ထိုထက်မကသော ပြည်သူများသည် စစ်ဘေးဒုက္ခသည်များဖြစ်လာပြီး Internally Displaced People (IDP)သတ်မှတ်ထားသော နေရာများတွင် ရွေ့ပြောင်းအခြေချလာခဲ့ကြရသည်။ ကယား(ကရင်နီ) ပြည်နယ်တွင် ဒေသတွင်း ရွေ့ပြောင်းလာသော ပြည်သူများနှင့် အတူ စခန်းတစ်ခုတွင် မိသားစုနှင့်အတူနေထိုင်သော  အမျိုးသမီး၃ယောက်သည်  စစ်ပွဲကြောင့် ၎င်းတို့၏ရွာမှ ထွက်ပြေးလွပ်မြောက်လာရသည့်ပုံရိပ်များ၊ ထိုအမျိုးသမီးတို့၏ ငြိမ်းချမ်းသော အိမ်ပြန်ခရီးလမ်း အိပ်မက်များအကြောင်း ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

Doris သည် လွိုင်ကော်တွင် လိင်တန်းတူရေးအတွက် အားစိုက်ရွေးချယ် လုပ်ဆောင်နေသူတစ်ဦး ဖြစ်သည်။ ၎င်းသည် Kayan Women Organization (KyWO) တွင် အတွင်းရေးမှူးအဖြစ် ဆက်တိုက် ၉လကြာ ဆောင်ရွက်၍ ၎င်း၏ လူမှုရေးပညာပေးလုပ်ငန်းကို စတင်ခဲ့သည်။ ၎င်းသည် ကရင်နီလူမျိုးများ၏ နယ်မြေတွင် ပထမဆုံး လိင်တန်းတူရေး လှုပ်ရှားမှုကို စတင်ခဲ့သည့် အမျိုးသမီးများထဲမှ တစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး ၂၀၁၁ ခုနှစ် Inland Project ကိုလည်း စတင်ခဲ့သူတစ်ဦးဖြစ်သည်။ ၂၀၁၂ ခုနှစ်တွင် ၎င်းသည် Women Center Loikaw သို့ ပြောင်းရွှေ့ပြီး ၈ လကြာ ဦးစီးမှုပေးခဲ့သည်။ ထို့နောက် ၂၀၁၃ ခုနှစ်တွင် Women Safe House ကို စတင်တည်ထောင်ကာ ၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ် ဇွန်လမှ ၂၀၁၅ ခုနှစ် ဩဂုတ်လအထိ လိင်နှင့်ဆိုင်သော ကိစ္စများကို တာဝန်ယူစီမံခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၁၇ ခုနှစ်တွင် ၎င်းသည် ရန်ကုန် ရုပ်ရှင်ကျောင်းရှိ Docu-Animation Course ကို တက်ရောက်ခဲ့သည်။ Docu-Animation သင်တန်းတွင် ဖန်တီးထားသည့် သူမ၏ကာတွန်းကား Kayah Li Li သည် တောထဲတွင် မုဒိမ်းကျင့်ခံရသည့်နေ့မှ လွတ်မြောက်လာသူ အသက်ဆယ့်သုံးနှစ်အရွယ် မုဒိမ်းကျင့်ခံရသည့်နေ့နှင့် မိသားစုနှင့် ဆရာဆရာမများ၏ ပံ့ပိုးကူညီမှုဖြင့် သူမရုန်းကန်ခဲ့ရပုံကို ဖော်ပြထားသည့် ဇာတ်လမ်းဖြစ်သည်။ စိတ်ထိခိုက်စရာ အတွေ့အကြုံများကြားမှ သူ့ကိုယ်သူ ဘဝသစ်တစ်ခု ဖန်တီးရန်ကြိုးစားနေခြင်းအပြောင်းအရာများဖြစ်သည်။ ဤအန်နီမေးရှင်းသည် ၃ ကြိမ်မြောက် Golden Bee International Children’s Festival တွင် အကောင်းဆုံး အန်နီမေးရှင်းဆုကို ရရှိခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်တွင် Exile Hub အဖွဲ့အစည်းမှ ‌ထောက်ပံကြေးအကူ‌ေငွကို ရရှိခဲ့ပြီး “Women At War” ရုပ်ရှင်ကို ရိုက်ကူးခဲ့သည်။ လတ်တလောတွင် ၎င်းသည် ကယားပြည်နယ်ရှိ နိုင်ငံတွင်း ပြောင်းရွှေ့လာသူများ (IDP) အား ကူညီပံ့ပိုးရန် လုပ်ငန်းများတွင် စေတနာ့ဝန်ထမ်းအဖြစ် လုပ်ကိုင်ဆောင်ရွက်နေသည်။
